
With respect to the sales processing of finished goods, customer requirements are inputted into scheduling agreements to control the material requirements planning and the shipment processing.This control of the process steps is limited to the treatment and range (horizon) of forecast-and JIT delivery schedules. The customer requirements/schedule lines are transmitted from the customer e.g. via EDI and automatically or manually recorded.The request is to maintain future planned requirements (sales planning), which exceed the horizons being transmitted from the customer, integrate those requirements into the scheduling agreements and consume them with actual existing requirements of customer calls.An integration of the sales operation planning data in the SAP ERP is amongst others the basis and the option for the determination of the orders on hand, CO-PA evaluations or cash flow analyses. Additionally, the transfer of requirements for finished goods enables the middle/long term control of the own production planning and external procurement of components.
