BMW TACHO / JIS Delivery Monitor

The delivery to BMW is based on the so called ‘SWET’(“Sollwareneingangstermin” –the time the goods have to be at the BMW production line). The SWET is sent to the suppliers within the sequenced JIT calls. The actual production time at the BMW plant can be different due to issues at the BMW production line. Therefore, BMW sends every 15 minutes the TACHO message with the actual progress of their production line in comparison to the transmitted SWET times. The TACHO message contains the time difference of the production line and the number of Cars that are out of sequence. The supplier has to define together with BMW in which way the TACHO information should be used to control the deliveries to BMW Download the Document

6Example SWET: 11.09.2019 2:00 PM TACHO: + 30 minutes SWET with TACHO: 11.09.2019 1:30 PM In this example BMW is producing faster than predicted. With this information the supplier might have to deliver more JIT calls with the next delivery.
