The OEMs are currently in transition to the new ASN norm VDA 4987. More and more suppliers are requested to send the ASN according to this new norm. ASNs for JIS-deliveries require beside „classical data“ such as material number and quantity also additional car-specific information. The data which has to be sent inside the ASN varies between the different OEMs. Examples: Order-number, Sequence-number, (short) VIN, Parts Family, Supply Group, additional Call number, etc. In addition, according to the VDA 4987 recommendations, packaging information must be enriched with vehicle-specific data
