SCE has transitioned from the SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) system to the cloud-based SuccessFactors platform due to SAP's move towards cloud applications and discontinuation of updates for the on-premise ERP HCM module. Initiated in 2019, the HR Re-Platform project aimed at modernizing HR processes, addressing technology obsolescence, limited vendor support, and disconnected data systems. In 2021, requirements were gathered for implementing SuccessFactors modules in 2022. Over 60 workshops were conducted for demos and policy changes.
