In January, SAP Business Network announced an upcoming feature that would require all
supplier users to create a free standard account on the network, or register under an existing
account, to see their PO details. The intended outcome is to streamline order collaboration and
address compliance risk with export control regulations. To minimize any potential disruption of
existing business processes, the release of this feature is being amended as follows:
• The feature activation for required supplier registration will be OPTIONAL and delivered in
the “off” setting. Buyer customers will be able to choose whether they want to require
registration before their suppliers can access all PO details. If no action is taken to
configure this feature, existing workflows and processes remain unchanged.
• The new release date for this configurable functionality is planned for the 2508 release.
Additionally, SAP is planning to develop a set of features throughout 2025 that will allow
suppliers to better manage unregistered relationships, address the risk of non-compliance with
export control regulations, and continue to streamline registration. As those features become
available, they will be communicated via quarterly release readiness communications.
