PowerCo SE is home to the global battery cell activities of the Volkswagen Group. From the
Salzgitter headquarters, the company manages international factory operations, the further
development of battery cell technology, the vertical integration of the value chain, and the
supply of machinery and equipment to factories.
It’s intended that Salzgitter will be a blueprint for cell factories throughout Europe and will
set new standards in sustainability and innovation. PowerCo seeks standardization not only
for its equipment, buildings, and infrastructure but also for its products, processes, and IT.
In going through a significant growth phase, the company needed to establish standardized
business processes based on best practices.
