Deutsche Börse (DBAG) was the first company in the financial services sector to consistently
implement SAP's Intelligent-Enterprise approach across the board, transferring its core
business processes to the latest cloud-based generation of SAP business software. This
includes customer relationship management, analysis tools, and solutions for human
resources, procurement, temporary employment and business travel management.
In effect, this means a complete modernization and harmonization of the corporate IT
landscape and existing processes, driving DBAG’s transformation to digitization. Step by step,
SAP processes are fully migrated via the offered SAP cloud services and standardized where
possible.
DBAG is committed to corporate responsibility and environmental protection and its business
activities are aligned with the company’s sustainability plans. In order to be able to manage
resource consumption even better, DBAG has collected and monitored CO2 key figures across
the company using a tool-based solution since the end of 2021.

DBAG had a large SAP landscape of different
applications, including: SAP ERP Central
Component (ECC), ECC HR, SAP S/4HANA, SAP
Business Warehouse, SAP BW/4HANA, CRM, PO,
etc. And all applications were running on DBs like
SAP HANA and ORACLE with AIX and Linux
platforms.
• DBAG did not have centralized SAP systems
administration and maintenance dashboard with
real time data.
• Audit and Compliance activities were completely
manual and time consuming. It took around 50
hours man efforts for audits.
TCS did an end-to-end analysis of the requirements
and explored possibilities for automation without any
extra investment and licensing cost. To address the
issues, the following solution was implemented:
• A landscape-wise SAP Administration automated
dashboard via Solution Manager Focus Insight
functionality was provided. Standard and
customized KPIs (system availability, performance,
DB growth, etc.) were implemented as per system
version and requirements.
• SAP (ABAP, JAVA, and HANA DB) compliance
report automation via Solman Root cause analysis
was provided.
• DBAG can now do better planning of hardware
resources and SAP HANA memory management
along with its GCP team. The company has a
real-time dashboard on SAP systems and DB
performance, user load, job status, system
availability, DB backup, and growth of all critical
production systems (SAP S/4HANA, SAP
BW/4HANA, PO, SAP ECC, and CRM).
• DBAG’s audit process is fast now and their
internal team is able to generate and share
system wise compliance reports with auditors
when needed during the internal and external
audit process.

monitoring of our SAP systems through integrated
dashboards, which accelerated problem identification and
resolution. This innovation enabled DBAG with high
availability of complete SAP landscape with over 200
systems. It gave flexibility to define and review key
performance indicators such as performance, availability,
configuration, exceptional handling, and alert notifications.
