For 25 years across Australia, Glencore has been mining the coal, metals and minerals that advance everyday life. They provide natural resources that can build and power the world around us – from businesses to homes, smartphones to laptops, airplanes to electric cars. Glencore required a mobile application to manage alerts and events identified by their existing sensors (real time monitoring units) on the mine sites (Sentinex & TeleData) environment monitoring solution and manage community complaints coming through from private landowners (neighbours to the mine) (Vodafone Helpdesk). The scope of the mobile application included: view and respond to environmental alarms and community complaints, log user actions to resolve alarms and complaints, provide an auditable record of alarms, complaints and actions.
