SDW is a Brazilian startup founded by Anna and Letícia, two women from the
northeastern region of the country with a passion for science and the environment.
With the goal of providing clean water and sanitation to communities facing socio-
environmental vulnerability, they established SDW, driven by innovation and social
commitment. The venture originated in 2013 from Anna's idea to create Aqualuz, a
device that utilizes solar radiation to treat water in remote areas. Following a
persistent journey, Letícia joined Anna in 2017 to develop and enhance Aqualuz,
expanding their efforts to other environmental solutions.
Today, SDW is internationally recognized for its sustainable solutions and has
projects in various regions of Brazil, positively transforming the lives of thousands
of people. The company stands out for its innovation and commitment to social
responsibility, becoming a reference in socio-environmental impact projects.

Reduction in Data Collection Time Reduction in processing and data
dissemination time at each stage of the
project.
Less downtime in the field due to the
process of collecting lost data with
applications that did not ensure the entered
data.
20%
SDW
3 hours 1 day
A significant portion of the beneficiaries of technological
solutions lacks access to the internet or phone signal.
Therefore, the entire data collection process conducted
in the field, from simple registration forms to
implementation, required secure offline-capable
applications. In collaboration with SAP, SDW developed
an application that streamlined processes for both field
and internal staff. This application enables the offline
saving of data, making the process more efficient and
secure in terms of information storage.
Leveraging SAP Build Apps for the application
development and Python with Flask for the API to
integrate data, SDW has created a comprehensive and
robust system. The use of SAP Build Apps ensures a
user-friendly and efficient application development
process, while Python and Flask contribute to the
seamless integration of data through a well-structured
and flexible API. This tech stack not only facilitates the
creation of a powerful and intuitive application but also
enables a smooth and reliable data integration process.
The combination of these technologies reflects SDW's
commitment to leveraging cutting-edge tools for the
development and integration of solutions that address
real-world challenges in the field of water treatment and
environmental solutions.
• Increased Speed for Data Processing and Storage
• Improved Speed for Field Staff
• Enhanced Data Security
• Global Visibility
• Showcasing at Sapphire and TechEd 2023
