Member data was spread over multiple technologies, and
opensource tools, used by different business units that
were inappropriate to analyze the volume and
background needed to build analytical models, resulted in
lower revenues and member satisfaction. The
objective was to transform members experience and
satisfaction with 360-degree analytics on multiple
business areas to drive faster time to decision.
Facing accelerating data growth with new affiliates, there
was a need for better interoperability and connectivity
of information between the solutions and various
programing languages and libraries.
SAP BTP for the Cloud Foundry environment is natively
integrated with Colsubsidio’s existing business
intelligence infrastructure and enables connectivity with
open-source programming languages.
SAP Analytics Cloud provides dynamic visualization and
insightful analysis. Using SAP Data Intelligence Cloud
and SAP HANA Cloud’s advanced analytics capabilities
together provides the ability to access all data in SAP
HANA Cloud, data lake and SAP HANA data
warehousing to conduct necessary analytics for
delivering services as efficiently as possible and
empowers developers to build applications that utilize
generative AI.
The implementation of SAP Business Technology
Platform (SAP BTP), as well as an intelligent data app,
has greatly improved the adoption of business
intelligence and advanced analytics solutions by the data
science teams. Each business unit can now use the
solution extensively, creating reports, dashboards and
advanced analytics models.
Bringing together their data, accessible on a single
source of truth, has helped achieve their strategic,
tactical, and operational objectives by focusing on more
efficient information use, significantly reducing the time to
extract and analyze data for decision-making support.
This has improved the internal teams' perception of the
business intelligence unit.

populations, are becoming increasingly important with climate
change, impacting local communities worldwide. Social programs
reduce vulnerability and improve the quality of life. Additionally, the
ability to respond quickly to a major crisis like the COVID -19
pandemic helps mitigate the impact on the most vulnerable.
With the implementation of SAP BTP, as well as an intelligent data
app, Colsubsidio now has business intelligence and advanced
analytic solutions to develop analytic models across all of its
business units enabling quick decision-making support.
There was high dependency on the legacy SAP Predictive Analytics
product that was out of maintenance, and the SAP Big Data Services
was no longer supported by SAP, resulting in lack of integration and
recurrent failures.
There was an inability to connect advanced analytics to specific
programming languages and libraries to offer enhanced
visualization, statistical analysis, and general data-science features.
The existing solution lacked the ability to take advantage of machine
learning and artificial intelligence capabilities offered by a modern
