Where Can This Script Be Used?This demo script has been written for usage with the SAP S/4HANA 2023 2020 (all FPS) Fully-Activated Appliance (in short“appliance” in this script), hence you will need such an appliance to make use of this guide.The appliance can be brought up in two ways, and the demo scenario in this script is largely the same for both:1. Via SAP Cloud Appliance Library (hosted on cloud providers)You need a cloud provider account at AWS, MS Azure, or GCP. With this, you can deploy the appliance within 1-2 hours fromhttps://cal.sap.com > Solutions > SAP S/4HANA <your release> Fully-Activated Appliance.2. 42. Demo Story Universal AllocationUniversal allocation is a group of apps that allows you to allocate planned or actual values from sender objects toreceiver objects. The allocated values can be primary costs and revenues, secondary costs, non-operatingexpenses and incomes, balance sheet account values, and quantities. The types of allocated values, senderobjects, and receiver objects depend on the allocation context.You use the apps to manage allocation processes, perform allocation runs, and see the results of allocations.Universal Allocation: provides one architecture for FI and CO allocations. combines actual and plan. provides simulation capabilities. includes actual and predictive data (ledgers). presents data in a common structure. provides all required reporting currencies. shows currency breakdown. can be enhanced / extended. provides traceability of the value flow. simplifies the process with guided procedures and validations.Note:Depending on the release / feature package stack (FPS) that you are using, the screens might looka bit different due to different Fiori themes used. Manage AllocationsThe Manage Allocations app allows you to create and edit allocation cycles and allocation segments.Functionalities include: Single point for maintenance of allocation cycles and segments. Initial screen provides list report of existing cycles for all authorized contexts (If user is authorized onlyfor cost center allocation, other contexts are not available for user). Multiple types of allocation rules manageable on segment level. Where used function for Cost Center/Profit Center objects.
