Background information
You’re acting as a business user in the sales department. Most of the time, you’re working with customer
master data. For example, your tasks include requesting new customers or changing existing ones.
This demo script explains how to use the MDG applications to create a customer.
Note: For this demo, you log on with user MDG_REQUEST to make your master data request and log in
with user MDG_APPROVER to approve the request.

1.1 Request New Customer

To request a new customer, log in
with the user MDG_REQUEST
and the password Welcome1.
Background information
You’re acting as a business user in the sales department. Most of the time, you’re working with customer
master data. For example, your tasks include requesting new customers or changing existing ones.
This demo script explains how to use the MDG applications to create a customer.
Note: For this demo, you log on with user MDG_REQUEST to make your master data request and log in
with user MDG_APPROVER to approve the request.

You’re now logged in as Data
Requestor.
Choose the Master Data –
Business Partners tab, scroll
down to Customer Central
Governance, and navigate to the
Manage Customer –
Governance tile.
In the Search Customers screen,
you can search for a business
partner using different search
criteria.
First, search if you can find your
customer in the system. To do
this, select Business Partner ID,
equal to, and type in MDG*.

Requestor.
Choose the Master Data –
Business Partners tab, scroll
down to Customer Central
