Background information
SAP MDG on SAP S/4HANA 2021 features the process analytics function “Critical Changes
Analysis for Master Data in Change Requests”. It enables you to provide analytic capabilities,
allowing you to gain real-time insights into master data changes in change requests. The primary
questions that this function can help answer include:
What changes have occurred across multiple organizations? Is there a conspicuous
organization that requires notification due to these changes?
How often and where have critical attributes been changed in the previously, and can these
modifications be minimized?
What is the current status within organizations? For example, how many change requests are
awaiting approval of payment data alteration, and which company codes does this affect?
This function supports all SAP delivered MDG data models, as well as custom flex data models.
This demo script provides you with an example of the business partner data model and guidance
on how to configure and use this function. It consists of two parts:
• Backend: Configure and generate CDS views
• UI: Configure smart business apps
