Solution: Scalable, multicloud SAP BTP Cloud Application Programming model (CAP) based app was developed delivering following features:Different persona can process opportunity data and be able to create an order in SAP ECC with one-clickApproval and status management, end-to-end process visibilityKey performance indicators shown to user groups (Sales, Service, Finance, Legal, Order Processing team etc.,)Ability to attach documents, Document extraction capability to convert pdf/image to textAbility to chat with fellow order processors and also add contextual personal notes. Also, view change log of who/which team did what and when. Outcome: From the learnings from PoC phase, Thermo Fisher is looking to productize the solution and roll out to business. Out of the ~9000 orders per month related to Equipments and Chemicals, ~2000 orders go through current inefficient order management process. With average order value of each of these order at about $20000, roughly $480 million per year worth of orders could be positively impacted. Paving way for increased order processing and fulfillment throughput across organization.
