A New Mission Manifesto - The Future for the Government Megaverse

Many have called this decade, the decade of disruption. With the Climate Emergency, The Covid Pandemic, Global Insecurity and a stalling Global Economy, creating many major disruptions and challenges for citizen’s, businesses and government.These disruptions coupled with a social Tsunami of change, where as much as 44% of the workforce by 2030 will be Generation Z and Alpha is creating new demands for digitization and changing priorities for our world. Citizen’s wanting a more sustainable and resilient approach to our planet, our purpose and it’s people.Generation V are the ones embrace the Era of Virtual and wanting to accelerate towards a new mission for humanity.Yet great change is only seen, when there is great necessity and we call all see this decade brings an unprecedented level of necessity. If necessity is the mother of invention, then in this decade the need for invention is pressing hard across many dimensions.Great necessity drives the need for a technological invention in the context of humanity, our planet, and social prosperity, which reframes the possibility of the future.There are five virtual era technologies which offer many possibilities and risks: Exponential Computing Power, Virtual Era Immersive Tech, Super – Hyperconnectivity, and Digital Trust Enabling Tech.Predicting the future is always tricky and often wrong. Yet our customers, specifically in government, look for ideas, answers, and insights into how they can embrace invention and innovation.The future will need government to reframe their mission and how we measure success if we are to achieve different outcomes.This paper examines what those outcomes might be, what steps we might take and the impact this will have in our daily lives.This manifesto raises questions, ideas, and possibilities.
