The SAP Ariba portfolio provides a comprehensive solution for managing
procurement processes across various categories. However, when it comes
to managing people-related processes such as vetting, onboarding,
offboarding, and ensuring compliance, the portfolio may not be sufficient on
its own.
In today's world, where cybersecurity risks are high, it is crucial to have a
system that provides comprehensive visibility and control over who is on
site, ensures proper vetting and onboarding of individuals, and manages

purpose of tracking spend in SAP Fieldglass. (Suppliers continue to
conduct business through SAP Fieldglass, not through SAP Business
Network.)
• SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing and the SAP Ariba Buying solution can
be configured to accept invoice information in SAP Fieldglass from
SAP Business Network as ERP invoice copies.
• For SAP Ariba solutions that route payment information to an external
ERP system, invoices in SAP Fieldglass can be included in the “OK-to-pay”

What are the prerequisites
for integrating SAP Fieldglass
and SAP Ariba solutions?
The buying organization must meet the following requirements:
• The buyer must have a subscription to either SAP Ariba Buying or
SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing and must be registered on SAP Business
Network.
• The buyer must have a subscription to SAP Fieldglass.
• In a buyer account for SAP Business Network, the following invoicing rules
must be enabled:
− Allow suppliers to send invoices to this account.
− Allow suppliers to send invoice attachments.
− Your procurement application can download invoice attachments
(Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions [MIME] multipart messages).
(This rule appears only when the rule “Allow suppliers to send invoice
attachments” is enabled.)
• The buyer must have a trading relationship with suppliers on SAP Business
Network referenced in SAP Fieldglass solution documents.
• For users to be able to access work orders and SOWs in SAP Fieldglass
directly from a requisition in SAP Ariba, both SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglass
solutions must be configured for corporate authentication with single sign-
on (SSO).
• In systems where SAP Fieldglass sends invoice information to
SAP Business Network and an external ERP system pays the invoice,
remittance information from the ERP system is sent back to SAP Fieldglass.
To support this flow, your SAP Business Network account must include the
following entitlement, which SAP Ariba sets for you: Upload CSV Payment
Proposals/Payment Batch.
• Configuring this feature requires several steps in SAP Fieldglass, SAP Ariba,
and SAP Business Network.
• On some sites, purchase requisitions include custom fields that are
configured as required fields. When the SAP Ariba solution creates an
purchase requisition from SAP Fieldglass in SAP Ariba, custom required
fields must be populated automatically so that the purchase requisition
can proceed to the “Submitted” state. Customer support for SAP Ariba
handles this requirement during implementation.
