Order and invoice information is routed to SAP Business Network for thepurpose of tracking spend in SAP Fieldglass. (Suppliers continue toconduct business through SAP Fieldglass, not through SAP BusinessNetwork.) SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing and the SAP Ariba Buying solution canbe configured to accept invoice information in SAP Fieldglass fromSAP Business Network as ERP invoice copies. For SAP Ariba solutions that route payment information to an externalERP system, invoices in SAP Fieldglass can be included in the “OK-to-pay”file for payment-request exports.

The buyer must have a subscription to SAP Fieldglass. In a buyer account for SAP Business Network, the following invoicing rulesmust be enabled: Allow suppliers to send invoices to this account. Allow suppliers to send invoice attachments. Your procurement application can download invoice attachments(Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions [MIME] multipart messages).(This rule appears only when the rule “Allow suppliers to send invoiceattachments” is enabled.) The buyer must have a trading relationship with suppliers on SAP BusinessNetwork referenced in SAP Fieldglass solution documents. For users to be able to access work orders and SOWs in SAP Fieldglassdirectly from a requisition in SAP Ariba, both SAP Ariba and SAP Fieldglasssolutions must be configured for corporate authentication with single sign-on (SSO). In systems where SAP Fieldglass sends invoice information toSAP Business Network and an external ERP system pays the invoice,remittance information from the ERP system is sent back to SAP Fieldglass.To support this flow, your SAP Business Network account must include thefollowing entitlement, which SAP Ariba sets for you: Upload CSV PaymentProposals/Payment Batch. Configuring this feature requires several steps in SAP Fieldglass, SAP Ariba,and SAP Business Network. On some sites, purchase requisitions include custom fields that areconfigured as required fields. When the SAP Ariba solution creates anpurchase requisition from SAP Fieldglass in SAP Ariba, custom requiredfields must be populated automatically so that the purchase requisitioncan proceed to the “Submitted” state. SAP Fieldglass and SAP Ariba Procurement Solutions IntegrationRequisition approvers in SAP Ariba can access associated work ordersand SOWs from SAP Fieldglass directly from the requisition. Relevantinvoicing and payment information flows between the two solutionsthrough SAP Business Network. SAP Fieldglass and Guided Buying in SAP Ariba (Request for Estimate)This feature enables you to request estimates for a service from one ormore suppliers before you select a supplier to purchase the servicefrom. You send request for estimate (RFE) forms (based on SOW bidtemplates) to suppliers in SAP Fieldglass from the guided buyingcapability. You can then review their responses, collaborate with them,and select a winner in SAP Fieldglass.What if my master data is outof sync between the twoapplications?Master data (which includes the foundational data elements that trans-actions reference) must be aligned between SAP Fieldglass and SAP Aribasolutions for the purchase requisition or purchase order and invoicetransactions to align. Examples of master data include company code orlegal entity; purchasing organization or business unit; plant or site; costobjects, cost centers, work breakdown structure, or internal order; users;commodity code; and more. Refer to the SAP Fieldglass and SAP AribaMaster Data Integration scenario.Which document types aresupported in SAP Aribasolutions?Integrating using service PO types in SAP Ariba is the leading practice forintegrating SAP Fieldglass with SAP Ariba, although material PO types inSAP Ariba are also supported.
