In 2020, SAP made great strides in integrating each of our four core end-to-end processes, and delivered close to 350 integrations, representing more than 160% growth year-over-year. By end of Q2/2021 we are targeting to ship close to 200 additional integrated business scenarios, and nearly 180 integrations are currently planned for the second half of this year. These integrations help accelerate the speed of innovation and drive business outcomes for our customers, be it in a cloud-to-cloud environment (like for Aramco Europe) or in a hybrid cloud-to-on-premise landscape (like for Orica). SAP’s integration strategy combines functional integrations along critical business processes and distinct suite qualities. These include end-to-end process documentation on SAP API Business Hub, a harmonized user experience across SAP applications and devices, aligned domain models as in SAP One Domain Model, and one central SAP Task Center service. All developments are based on one unifying technology platform: SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
SAP S/4HANA, SAP Sales Cloud, and SAP Service Cloud help us eliminate data silos, SAP SuccessFactors solutions free us from lengthy performance review periods, and SAP Concur solutions replace manual expense reporting.

Lead to Cash: By integrating experience and supply chain management with SAP S/4HANA, SAP helps our customers predict their customers’ needs and build and deliver products to meet their expectations. One of the recent integration highlights is the integration between the SAP CPQ and SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management solutions on SAP S/4HANA that shortens the time to market for other solutions, such as subscription-based commercial products in hybrid deployments (2105 release).
Recruit to Retire: By integrating human experience management (SAP SuccessFactors solutions), contingent workforce and vendor management (SAP Fieldglass solutions), travel and expense management (SAP Concur solutions), and SAP S/4HANA, customers can optimize workforce decisions and future workforce plans. One of the latest integration highlights in this area (2105 release) include a richer time management solution for the hire-to-retire sub-process: the generic service for clock-in and clock-out in the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solution offers a pre-built integration service into clock terminal hardware and allows HR time administrators and employees to make easier corrections. Employees can do this through dedicated self-service scenarios. Time punches can be addressed by administrators more easily.
Source to Pay: By integrating supply chain management solutions, sourcing and procurement solutions (Ariba solutions and SAP Fieldglass solutions), and SAP S/4HANA, we provide a redefined buying experience that creates transparency and empowers intelligent and self-service-compliant purchasing. Support for a new integration scenario (available as of feature pack stack 1 [FPS1] in SAP S/4HANA 2020) centralizes sourcing and contract management to streamline the purchasing process. Customers can run strategic-sourcing activities with the most cost-effective bids from millions of suppliers on Ariba Network through integration of pricing information from the SAP Ariba Sourcing solution into operational systems.
Design to Operate: Synchronized planning interlocks supply and production plans, allowing network-wide optimization of the distribution supply chain as well as effective deployment decisions. By bringing together advanced shipping and receiving information in one view, customers can increase cargo visibility, process incoming information more quickly, save costs through accurate market prices, and improve asset utilization and loading efficiency. With the feature pack 1 (FP1) for SAP S/4HANA 2020 (Q1/2021), the new simplified integration between the SAP Transportation Management and SAP Extended Warehouse Management applications supports mixed warehouse scenarios in one freight order. Through SAP S/4HANA, all parties can improve freight visibility, leading to better asset utilization, lower CO2 emissions and increased savings.

One of the most important benefits we see in SAP SuccessFactors solutions is the tight integration across the entire employee lifecycle. We can now manage the full journey from hire to retire.
