Official rules
Introduction
Participation in the SAP Customer Excellence Awards for SEA (the “Awards”) constitutes your acceptance of these rules. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. The Awards does not apply to countries outside the SAP Southeast Asia Market Unit, namely: Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Bhutan, and Maldives (the “Eligible Countries”; each an “Eligible Country”) and where prohibited by law.
Overview
The SAP Customer Excellence Awards for SEA (the “Awards”) is a skill-based contest in which Entrants (defined below) will submit an Entry in a Pitch Deck (being an “Entry” or “Entries”) demonstrating:
How a business organisation (an “SAP Customer”) using SAP products or services has successfully deployed a business application that utilises any or a combination of SAP’s cloud based Solution / Service as represented by the following entry categories Rising Star Award, Business Suite Award, HCM Transformation Award, Finance Transformation Award, Business AI Award, Business Data Award and Business Transformation Award.
Note that in addition to the Eligibility requirements below, the SAP Cloud Application constituting the business solution / system that is the subject of the Entry must be procured in an Eligible Country and support daily business operation primarily in the Eligible Countries.

Eligible Entrants may participate in the Awards by submitting an Entry between May 05, 2025 and June 13, 2025. The following are the key dates:
Submissions open on May 5, 2025
Submissions close on June 27, 2025
Winners announced on July 24, 2025
Eligibility
Entries can be submitted by an employee of an SAP Customer or Partner or the entity submitting on behalf of the SAP Customer or Partner that is the subject of the Entry, if consent has been given by the SAP Customer. The person submitting the Entry (“Entrant”) must:
Be above the age of majority in their place of residence
Reside in one of the Eligible Countries
Be an employee of the SAP Customer or Partner or the entity submitting on behalf of the Customer or Partner
The Entrant must have the prior authorisation of the SAP Customer or Partner to enter the Awards on their behalf, subject to these Official Rules. Should an employee or entity of SAP Customer or Partner participate as one of the judges, the SAP Customer or Partner will not be eligible to submit any entry in the Awards.
Individuals who are employees, officers, directors, agents, or partners of the Sponsor and its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising and promotion agencies (collectively called the “Awards Entities”), and the immediate family members are not eligible to participate. Government-related entities may only participate under the limited circumstances set forth in these Official Rules:
SAP reserves the right to verify eligibility and to adjudicate in its sole and absolute discretion on any dispute related to the Awards at any time. The Awards is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and is void where prohibited.
The Entrant warrants that the appropriate corporate officers, executives, managers, or other persons of the entity on whose behalf the Entry was submitted have approved the Entry and understand and agree that these Official Rules will be binding on both the individual submitting the Entry and the entity on whose behalf the Entry was submitted.
The Entrant understands that if the Entry is submitted without obtaining the appropriate approval, SAP may, in its sole discretion, disqualify the Entrant, the SAP Customer, Partner, and the Entry. In the case of a third party entering on behalf of an SAP Customer, participation by Entrant is subject to SAP receiving written confirmation from an authorised representative of the SAP Customer indicating the SAP Customer’s acceptance of the Official Rules.
Only Customers will be facilitated with the Awards and current employees/delegates from the customer will be able to collect the awards during the ceremony.
Entry categories
Entry categories
The Awards will recognise up to five (5) winners across seven (7) Entry Categories (as defined below). All Entries must describe live deployments involving SAP technologies. Entrants may select a maximum of three (3) categories to enter. The categories, are as follows:
- Rising Star Award
- HCM Transformation Award
- Finance Transformation Award
- Business Transformation Award
- Business AI Award
- Business Data Award
- Business Suite Award

How to enter:
Customers intending to participate in the Awards should download the Pitch Deck Template from the ‘How to Enter’ section.
- Please fill in as many details as comprehensively as possible to make your entry compelling.
- Please convert the pitch-deck into .pdf format to reduce the file size.
- Ensure the customer’s name is the filename of the pitch deck in the format ‘SAP Customer Excellence Awards for SEA 2025 (Customer Name)’.
- Send the completed entry by email to sea.customer.office@sap.com
Entries must be in English. If an Entry is incomplete or does not comply with the specifications and these Official Rules, then the Entry will be disqualified, and this disqualification may take place at any point in the Awards process. All decisions by the SAP and the judges are final and absolute and are not subject to inquiry or appeal. No purchase or payment is required to enter, and any expenses Entrants voluntarily incur during the submission process are their sole responsibility.
Judging and finalists notification
Judging
The entries in each Entry Category will be judged by a group of qualified judges consisting of the SAP’s employees and/or non-employee judges selected by SAP (“Judges”). The Judges will then review the finalist. Entries with the highest score(s) in each Entry Category will be determined the winners or award recipients in that Entry Category. Each Entry will be evaluated by the Judges based on the following criteria:
Objective: What were the main intents of the transformation? What SAP solutions are part of transformation project?
Roll-out: How many departments, subsidiaries and countries have you rolled out the SAP Cloud solution(s)?
Transformation Journey: Share details on the roll-out phases and solution roadmap of your transformation journey.
Run better: How does the project impact the lives of individuals either inside or outside the organisation? Share details on the business users, suppliers, distributors and customers impacted by your transformation.
Outcomes: What business value & outcomes has the project delivered? Please share quantified metrics wherever possible (such as productivity gains, lower costs, simplified processes, revenue/profit increases, etc.)
Finalists notification
After the submissions close judges will evaluate & select the Entries that they determine to be qualified based on the judging criteria.
Finalists will be notified by or before July 15, 2025 through telephone or email. If a finalist does not respond to the notification attempt within seven (7) days from the first notification attempt, then SAP may disqualify such finalist and select an alternate finalist.
