Intro
Within the SuccessFactors modules we are using the as a specific type of card in the modules Calibration and Succession. This card is mainly in use to display talent information of employees and succession canditates.
The card is a SuccessFactors specific component which is only used in the SF modules. It goes beyond the standard requirements and was developed to cover special use cases in the HXM area.
Usage
Use the talent card if:
- You want to compare employees, canditates and applicants
- You want to display overall compentency ratings, language skills, certifications and badges of individuals
Don“t use the talent card if:
- You want to display a concise overview of an object. Please use the Quick View component instead.
- You want to display overall information about, for example, an employee or a company.
The card will be mainly used for the comparison use case. Please look also at the chapter of the SF Comparison Pattern in the section Floorplan & Layouts.

Structure & Components
Behavior & Interaction
The Talent Card is used to bring a limited set of data from multiple people to the foreground while the underlying UI remains active. In this way, several maps can be called up and arranged side by side. The cards behave as an overlay and overlay the UI over the entire height including header and footer.
- The talent card can be called out by an icon button in the UI.
- The user can open several cards in parallel
- The cards are attached to each other
- The sequence of the cards can be changed via mouse drag
- The cards can be moved out of the screen by mouse until only a small border can be seen on the screen
The card will be launched by a 3 dot menu in the datatset, which opens a menu list as an entry point.
