Intro

The SAP Design System portal now has a new simplified approach to past versions of the SAP Fiori for Web guidelines. You can still find all the information you need from any of the past guidelines you use, but the content has been condensed into versions for long-term support and a more streamlined user experience going forward.

We always encourage the use of the latest version where possible. But for those still using past versions of SAP Fiori for Web, read on below to find everything you need to know about the simplified versioning approach.

General Approach

Site Version

The versioning for the SAP Fiori for Web site is based on the versioning for the SAPUI5 framework.

This version applies across all content on the site, including foundational content and component guidelines for SAP Web Components.

Supported Versions

The “Latest” version is the latest available guideline version.
To support users working with older framework versions, we also offer continued access to previous guideline versions. The content for older guideline versions is now consolidated in long-term support versions, based on the SAPUI5 long-term maintenance versions. For more information, see Available Versions.

Note that the latest available guideline version may not always reflect the latest available implementation. For the latest implementation, see the development documentation for SAPUI5 and UI5 Web Components.

Version Switcher

By default, you see the latest version. You can change the version using the version switcher on the top right.

If you select an older version, the site view switches to the selected version. This view is retained until you change it again.
