Intro
The Search Field is an established component that appears in different contexts. There are multiple variants of the Search Field on the different technology and application stacks.
This is an overview on the Search Field variants there are at CX UX.
Overview
Emarsys
The Search Input can be used for both starting a search query (the user is taken to a search results page after submitting the keywords) and filtering (content on the page is changed as the keywords are entered).
Conventionally, site-wide search inputs are displayed at the top right corner of an interface, but you don't have to stick to this convention for Emarsys products: the Search Input can be aligned to the left.

The Search Field lets the user enter a search string and trigger the search process. A Seearch Field also can have a token include and user can add and remove the token inside the input.
