Concepts
Product Specifics / Service Guide Template
This chapter defines the basic terms, objects and entities of the service and describes their relationship to each other.
Basic Considerations
The following questions might help you when collecting information for this chapter:
- What are the basic terms, objects, and entities your service deals with?
- What are the concepts the developer and account administrator have to understand before they can start to bind the service and develop the application in conjunction with the service?
- What is the relationship between the terms, objects, or entities?
- Are there any dependencies between them?
- Is there a hierarchy?
Usage of graphics
If there are multiple concepts described in this chapter, it might be a good idea to illustrate the relationship between them in a graphic.
Multiple topics
You may want to provide more than one topic to describe the concepts of your service.
Topic Content
Title: Concepts
Use "Concepts" as title of your (root) topic. Do not replace it with another title.
Multiple Topics
If you provide individual topics for each concept that you want to describe, use the term or object name as topic title. Group all of these topics under the root topic "Concepts".
If a configuration file has to be defined by the developer or account administrator, provide a dedicated topic containing the relevant information for this task. Use the term "Configuration File" as title of this topic.
Sections within concept topics
There are no fixed sections or section titles for the single concept topics. The sections and their content entirely depend on your specific service.
