DITA & Oxygen
The Ixiasoft DITA CMS (Central Management Server) is the standard platform used at SAP for creating and managing SAP product documentation. The content creation and editing tool, Oxygen Editor, is an integrated component. The DITA CMS provides the tools and workflows you need to manage the end-to-end documentation lifecycle, which includes content creation, editorial review, translation, and finally, publishing.
Final documentation is published automatically to the SAP Help Portal or to other channels where customers consume our user assistance, such as SAP Web Assistant for in-app help or GitHub for developer guides. Publishing formats include a wide range of HTML formats, PDF, and Web Assistant UI components.
The DITA CMS is designed for trained technical writers or UA designers, familiar with information mapping concepts and with working on structured content.
