Overview

User guidance is when you embed instructive messages in the application to help users complete their tasks easily and quickly. By providing user guidance at the right time and according to the user's context, the user can stay working in the application instead of leaving it to search for instructions elsewhere.

Usage

The two types of user guidance detailed below are complementary and can be used in the same application. Choose the type of user guidance that benefits your users the most in each use case.

Accessibility

Two-Senses Concept (ACC-256)

Many components used in User Guidance have different types to show severity of the message.

Include that status icons are displayed with corresponding status colors whenever they are available with UI components. Information has to be conveyed through at least two distinguishable sensory characteristics (in this case, color and shape are used).
