KPI colors are a specific sequence of colors that is defined to differentiate data points in the chart when there are more than 11 categories (or KPIs).
Usage
Use KPI colors if:
- You want to potentially distinguish 66 HANA KPIs presented in one or multiple charts for comparison.
- You want to show multiple charts on one page and make sure they don’t use the same color for different data points. This can prevent users from misinterpreting values in different charts.
Do not use KPI colors if you want to provide visual differentiation between less than 11 data points in the chart. The Qualitative Color Palette is enough to cover this case.
Guidelines
- Use color sequences in the specified order. Colors within the same sequence should be applied in the provided order as well.
- Do not mix these colors with semantic colors.
Design Specification
This is the extension of the Qualitative Palette and the Sequential Palette from the Fiori Design Guidelines. It starts from the first sequence of colors in the qualitative palette and following sequences are defined to maximize color contrast among sequences and make use of all sequences from the sequential palette. The difference between KPI colors and the sequential palette is that different shades are not related to the impact of values.
