This demo will walk you through creating a business workspace with SAP Build Work Zone.
Learn how to use the workspace to drive collaboration and knowledge sharing in your organisation.
Click on the “My Workspace“ tab to get started.
“My Workspace“ is a personalised space that you can customise to your role without any coding.
Now, suppose you want to submit a leave request. To do this, click on the “My Time Off” application.
Your SAP SuccessFactors solution can be accessed directly from SAP Build Work Zone. You can now create your leave request and submit it for approval.
To go back to the SAP Build Work Zone page, click on the “Back“ arrow.
In our following example, your company is introducing a new compensation plan. You want to set up a workspace to prepare and inform employees about the new program.
As an HR business user, you can quickly create this workspace without writing any code.
In the “Workspaces“ menu, on the “My Workspace“ tab, click “New Workspace“.
You can start from an empty workspace or select an existing pre-built template from the drop-down menu.
To view an existing template, select “Preview“.
Select a template based on your requirements.
Enter the new workspace title and description and set the workspace permissions.
A “public” workspace is accessible to all users of SAP Build Work Zone. A “Private” workspace allows the admin to invite users to the workspace and restrict its access.
Click on “Create“ to complete the process.
On the overview page of your new workspace, you can use drag-and-drop tools to add, edit, and delete widgets to customise your workspace.
To edit the workspace, click the “Edit“ icon to the right of the header image.
To delete a widget, click the “Delete“ button indicated by the trash icon.
To edit the “Forum“ widget, click on the edit icon.
Let's say that you would like to display questions and ideas on the “Forum“ widget.
Update all the fields based on your requirements and then click “Save”.
Next, let's share some knowledge articles on the page. To do this, click on “Add Widget“.
You can search for and add pre-built widgets such as banners, content, events, and integration cards based on your requirements.
Select the widget that you would like to add. In our case, let's select “Knowledge Base“.
You can now add articles that will be displayed on the Knowledge Base widget.
Once you have finished designing the page, click on “Publish“ to publish your workspace.
Congratulations! You have gone through our sample flow and created a workspace from pre-built templates.
You can invite other members of your team to join the workspace.
Click on “+ Invite.“
Search for and add the users that you want to invite to the workspace.
Click on “Send“ to send an invitation e-mail to the selected invitees.
The new workspace is now ready for use. Another important capability of SAP Build Work Zone is to create guided experiences that simplify business processes.
Suppose you are planning to go on parental leave and are looking for information. The company has created a guided experience for parental leave.
Click on “Workspace“ > “Parental Leave“.
The guided experience is connected to the workflows that are a part of SAP Build Process Automation. It provides you a simple step-by-step process of what you need to do.
You can sign up for new programmes, connect with other parents, find information, and ask questions. Let's say you want to find out how parental leave would affect your career.
Click on “Parenting and Your Career”.
Here you will find valuable articles and information to help you balance raising your child and pursuing your career.
Congratulations, you've gone through our sample workflows and learned how SAP Build Work Zone can help improve business communication through workspaces and guided experiences.
We hope you enjoyed the demo!
