SAP Integration Platform

Automate and extend processes online with an SAP integration platform

Unify your landscape of diverse IT architectures seamlessly with the SAP Business Connector component. With open and non-proprietary business-to-business (B2B) integration standards, you can secure bidirectional, real-time, and asynchronous communication, electronic data interchange (EDI), and data synchronization between your IT systems and SAP solutions.

Why SAP Business Connector?

Because reusing existing IT infrastructure and expertise lowers the cost of deployment. Our component provides an integration platform to increase efficiency across the business and the customer experience by allowing tight enterprise application integration (EAI) between your third parties’ and customers’ infrastructures.

With SAP Business Connector, you can:

  • Provide business partners with B2B integration tools, BAPI programming interface, and intermediate document formats (IDoc) through online, secure XML-based services with minimal disruption and ramp-up time
  • Integrate trading partners to automate data exchange and extend the reach of your SAP software infrastructure to third parties, customers, banks, and government agencies
  • Support real-time data integration to allow bidirectional data transfer between online resources and SAP applications
  • Connect your in-house legacy system or third-party application with an in-house SAP software system
  • Implement and roll out EAI and EDI integration initiatives within days, not months

Learn how SAP Business Connector can simplify the lives of business users and IT staff:

Functional Capabilities
  • Standardized access to data
Create XML-based services within your organization quickly and easily. Provide uniform access to SAP solutions and third-party systems with the stable, precisely defined, and well-documented BAPI programming interface.
  • Third-party connection to business systems
Empower your business partners with online access to application-level functionality. Trigger synchronous and asynchronous messaging and processing seamlessly and transparently.
  • Remote function calls (RFC)
Access all functionalities of the SAP software infrastructure without requiring third-party applications to understand data types, ABAP programming language, or the communication protocol.
  • B2B integration between trading partners
Get information that is available through an SAP integration server. Unify B2B processes and systems to extend the SAP software infrastructure to third parties, customers, banks, and government agencies.
  • IDoc routing capabilities
Route IDocs based on the criteria you specify. Choose from a variety of out-of-the-box transport types, such as routing of an IDoc to another SAP solution system or to an external system in an XML format.
