Linear Assets High Consequence Analysis

Linear asset owners, such as onshore Pipeline operators must calculate HCA's, or High Consequence Areas, every 5 years. The calculations determine if encroachment to the pipeline has occurred, and if so, what are the mitigative actions and risks. The HCA App is a native SAP Business Network App.

Overview

Regulatory compliance

Per Pipeline regulations owner/operators of transmission gas pipelines must perform High Consequence Analysis as encroachment occurs on the pipelines. This ensures the owner/operator manages the pipeline to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Perform the assessment in SAP solutions

Currently, organizations are performing these assessments by 3rd party tools and consultants, looking traceability to the physical asset and CAPEX (Capital Expenditures) and OPEX (Operational Expenditures) work scheduling.

Reducing consequence risk

The High Consequence Analysis (HCA) is a set of organized and systematic assessments of the potential hazards associated with the pipeline to be mitigated. The HCA assist managers and employees in making decisions for improving safety, health, and environmental consequence of the physical asset.

Features

High Consequence Analysis algorithms

All of the calculations are visible to the end user. Allowing the user to understand the impacts of the inputs to the model. This ensures there is no "black box" to the engineer running the assessment.

Customizable risk matrix

A corporate risk matrix could be configured, or use the AsInt provided matrix. Risk matrices are important to allow the users to prioritize risk and associated recommendations that are turned into Notifications and Work Orders.
