In 2012, ConAgra launched a five-year strategy – “Recipe for Growth” – which includes plans to grow organically and through acquisitions while driving effective pricing and cost-savings.
Today’s grocery shoppers want real value, waste less food, don’t buy as much on impulse, and make fewer stock-up trips to the supermarket. Therefore, ConAgra will work more closely with its retail partners to understand their shoppers and develop solutions that grow categories and its core business. ConAgra launched an initiative called Customer Connect, which is designed to help it become a better partner with retailers by delivering programs that drive volume and mutual profit growth and to transform its relationships with customers by providing proactive, strategic solutions.
Even with the deep inflation from 2012, ConAgra is seeing success from the Customer Connect work, thanks to new pricing models.
