Rudolf Brysa

Development Expert

Rudolf's story

At SAP, we build breakthroughs, together.

What I like about SAP is its corporate culture. Employees are respected for their expertise, particularly when they pass that expertise on and share their knowledge with others.

Rudolf Brysa

Having studied finance and computer science at Masaryk University, I had thought about where I could leverage both disciplines after my graduation. I knew about SAP and checked its open positions. By luck or destiny, there was an opening for Support Consultant for SAP Treasury and Risk Management ™ that got my attention, offered in my hometown Brno on top of that.

In 2006, I joined a team that covered several different SAP modules, from basis to treasury and real estate. I was also assigned to a virtual team in Vienna covering Treasury. At that time, I had a great mentor who was willing to spend time with me to answer all my questions and make sure I understood the functionality of assigned modules. After one year and a half, I was offered to join the development support for Treasury and moved to SAP headquarters in Walldorf, Germany.

After 10 years in development support, I became a development expert who got a chance to expand his focus to financial mathematics development or cross-team activities as a member of the virtual product security response team. I have always been provided with great mentoring by my colleagues. After some years, I got the chance of giving this back when my main activities shifted towards mentoring other colleagues, supporting my teammates in solving customer issues, providing consultancy on development and product support, conducting customer workshops, and handling the critical customer issues.

Since January 2019, I have been back in Brno working in Globalization Services driving the topic of treasury localization worldwide. I have spent my whole career at SAP in various roles, but still more or less focusing on Treasury. One of the results of this passion of mine is the contribution to a published book SAP Treasury and Risk Management 2nd edition.

Besides this I drive the adoption of Central Business Configuration within the Globalization Services being responsible for providing the requirements and guiding the colleagues in implementation.

What I like about SAP is its corporate culture. Employees are respected for their expertise, particularly when they pass that expertise on and share their knowledge with others.
