Silicon Valley Next Talent Program

Let’s jumpstart your career. Dive into SAP with a one year, full-time rotational program and career accelerator for recent graduates, with opportunities in development, design, data science, product management, quality assurance, data center infrastructure, and cloud delivery. Participants of the Silicon Valley Next Talent Program will be joining a talented community of tech innovators and will be given the opportunity to work with diverse SAP business units, teams, and products across our three Bay Area offices.

The three essential pillars of the program


Rotate between 3 to 4 different teams across our products organization during the  12-month program



Create a foundation of experiences and knowledge through quarterly workshops and trainings and monthly meet-ups that are curated specifically for the program


Collaborate with other program participants on ideas and launch projects that have the potential to impact and optimize SAP processes

Frequently asked questions

Who joins the program?
  • Next Talent Program participants are recent undergraduates and graduates with  experience and interest in development, design, data science, quality assurance, product management, and/or data center infrastructure and cloud delivery.
  • Participants join the program in one of these disciplines but come from diverse backgrounds as innovative thinkers and doers who share a passion for making the world run simple.
Other than rotation work, what else does the program provide?
  • Beyond rotations, the Next Talent Program provides 4 weeks of formal trainings where participants will learn about SAP’s history, business goals, and meet with their future managers.
  • Once a month, there is a fireside chat with influential members of SAP who give insight into their experience and line of business at SAP.
  • There are strategic projects completed in groups which tackle design and business challenges to prepare participants with the SAP knowledge and skills to become SAP business ready.
How long is the program and each rotation?
  • The SAP Next Talent Program was created with the intent to support each participant in designing and customizing his or her career path.
  • In the 12 months of the program, participants undergo three to four rotations that are each 3 or 6 months in length.
  • After a successful completion of the program, participants will join the team that best suits their strengths and interests.
What kind of teams are participants placed on?
  • Participants will be placed on early-stage to mature teams within SAP's Product and  Innovation organization in areas such as Internet of Things, Cloud, and User Experience.
  • Each participant will meet with their managers and be assigned a buddy who will work closely as a mentor and ensure an easy transition into their respective team.  
What will the day-to-day look like?
  • Next Talents are full members of their rotation teams and are expected to attend team meetings and offsites if applicable.
  • In general, participants will work on diverse teams, in which they will experience a balance of independent work, team collaboration, and strategic projects.  
How do I choose my rotations?
  • Each rotation is chosen by a mutual agreement by the future manager and the SVNT participant.
  • For the first rotation, each participant will have a few conversations with possible teams and managers to get a feel for what the work might be like.
  • Going forward, the participants can reach out to teams within Products & Innovation to converse about what a rotation might look like and reach a mutual agreement.
