MJ Quinn Integrated Services Limited prides itself on offering best-in-class solutions and services to some of the United Kingdom’s largest telecommunications, energy, and infrastructure companies. But disparate systems from various providers combined with manual, spreadsheet-based processes began posing operational difficulties. For example, different systems for stock management and accounting made it hard to maintain visibility and control over stock that was being transported by vehicles out in the field. And monthly financial reporting could take as long as 15 days.
To address these challenges and more, MJ Quinn knew it was time to modernize and unify its ERP.

Finding the right partner to support a fast rollout of cloud ERP
To modernize, unify, and integrate global operations, MJ Quinn chose SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition. A key reason for the choice was the ease of integration with the SAP systems being run by parent company Grupo Visabeira.
In collaboration with SAP partner excelerated group, MJ Quinn leveraged an SAP-qualified partner-packaged solution for finance and logistics to accelerate implementation and quickly maximize benefits.
The initial deployment of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition took just nine months—allowing MJ Quinn to move to a managed service model. It’s also continuing the engagement with excelerated, which supports twice-yearly upgrades and ongoing deployment projects.
The next step in MJ Quinn’s cloud ERP journey is to deploy a manufacturing extension for a newly acquired business and to expand system reach from the United Kingdom to all of Ireland.

Streamlining financials and logistics with automation and integration
MJ Quinn now manages all its financials, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, general ledger, taxes, and associated returns using SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
Much of the company’s monthly financial reporting cycle has been automated, cutting the process down from 15 days to just five days—a 67% reduction.
Now with logistics running on a single system, stock is 100% traceable—giving MJ Quinn greater visibility and control. This includes tracking stock out in the field, managing vans across the country, and being able to locate assets and equipment in real time. Plus, greater automation means a far better user experience for MJ Quinn employees.
MJ Quinn is also using SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition to manage other business processes, including procurement, inventory, and project costing.
