Joining SAP’s Scholar Program has been a catalytic experience to kick off my IT career while pursuing higher studies from a reputed institution. The program enabled me to be a part of cross-domain teams working on multiple technologies to create impactful solutions. It has been a great journey filled with learning opportunities in both the technical domain as well as honing my soft skills in areas of management and communication.
As a Scholar@SAP, I was provided with an excellent learning environment, including readily accessible facilities and a variety of student resources, to gain practical skills and most importantly, confidence in the workplace. The Scholars team and the BITS Pilani lecturers and instructors were a constant source of support who helped us drive our success. The journey from being a Scholar@SAP to becoming an SAP employee has been an amazing adventure. Fabulous and rewarding is how I would describe my past five years at SAP Labs!
When I first applied to SAP’s Scholar program, I saw it as a way into the corporate world. Soon after joining, I realized it was so much more than that. Here I was surrounded by industry experts, delivering real-time features to customers in a dynamic working environment. Our master’s degree classes had the perfect mix of on-the-job learning and practical exposure, and the culture at SAP furthers the experience, allowing us to learn, adapt and implement across different domains. I found a place where I was constantly challenged and given a way to find new avenues. It’s been eight years and I have met experts, made friends, learned immeasurably, travelled, done a fellowship and worked with colleagues around the world. I can proudly say it’s a great start to my career and I am happy to have been apart of it.
The Scholar@SAP program turned out to be one of the most eventful and rewarding phases of my life. The multitude of opportunities to work across teams helped me gain exposure to numerous technologies and working styles and nurtured me into a well-rounded person who makes friends easily. Networking is one of the most sought-after skills in today's connected world and the Scholar program has been key in growing my network exponentially. I'd like to thank everyone who facilitated this beautiful chapter of my life and would strongly recommend the program to students considering their foray into corporate life! SAP’s employee-centric culture and numerous learning opportunities have ensured that I've never suffered Monday blues in my SAP journey, and I look forward to a long-lasting career here.
As a Scholar@SAP, I had the great opportunity to work with different teams using different technologies. SAP offers various technical and functional trainings and programs that helped me to analyze and develop my skill sets. Pursuing my MTech from BITS Pilani was an excellent experience with skilled lecturers from reputational institutions. It helped me to apply advanced software engineering concepts in my daily work. At SAP, we got to experience team building activities, leadership talks conducted by successful entrepreneurs, and lots of coding and brainstorming events. I learned to be a team player, develop my entrepreneurial skills and innovative thinking. I am proud to be a Scholar@SAP!
