Overview
100% Data Consistency Between GIS and SAP
Never again you will run into the issues that assets in the GIS do not have a matching counter-part in the SAP! All assets which are synchronized with the UT Integrator will be 100% in sync between SAP and GIS
No duplication of GIS database
We keep the production of GIS and the SAP database in constant sync. This way a cumbersome duplication of the GIS database on SAP side and keeping this GIS database in sync with the production GIS database is avoided. Keep things as simple as possible!
Fast combined GIS – SAP reports
Many processes require reports with combined GIS and SAP data. By matching the GIS ID with the SAP ID of your assets, you can build these type of combined GIS - SAP reports with a few mouse clicks. Thus comprehensive management, regulatory authority or renewal strategy reports can easily be created
Fast Geographical Visualization of SAP Data
Any attribute available in SAP may be synchronized to GIS to create thematic maps. E.g., a network planner may want to see the free capacities of nearby MV/LV stations, an attribute only available in SAP. After sync with UT Integrator he creates a thematic map depicting free capacity of transformers
Reduce Number of IT Applications in Your Processes
Many utility processes like e.g. the investment process, maintenance process or service point connection process require both the usage of SAP and GIS. By embedding smart GIS maps within the SAP GUI, the SAP users do not have to open anymore the GIS. They do all their work within one environment.

Features
Sync of GIS and SAP databases
By sending near real-time messages (typically SOAP or REST), the productional GIS and SAP databases are kept in perfect sync. For each asset configured within the UT Integrator, the respective IDs (GIS ID and SAP ID) will be matched and kept in sync.
Frontend integration
VertiGIS has specific expertise in integrating SAP or other IT systems and GIS and functionality into one user interface (e.g. SAP GUI, SAP Fiori). This allows end users to access within a certain business process only those SAP and GIS functions & data, which they really need in this very moment.
Mobile GIS and SAP Integration
Esri has released a number of fantastic mobile Apps, e.g. ArcGIS Field Maps. Field workers may collect information in the field. The UT Integrator can sync right away all business information over to SAP. Thus, use a GIS centric mobile App to collect data in the field for both GIS and SAP!
UT Integrator - System Requirements
For the synchronization between SAP and GIS, UT Integrator needs Esri ArcGIS Server V10.8.1 or higher or a Feature Service from any other GIS. On the side of SAP, we talk to a R/3 or S/4 system, usually via REST/ODATA (see also resources section). As database, HANA or other databases are supported.
UT Integrator - Areas of Use
In the above description we have focused on integration between SAP and GIS, which is definitely one of the more important use cases for the UT Integrator. However, the UT Integrator has also been successfully deployed in many other integration scenarios, such as e.g. CRM, SCADA, ADMS.
