SAP TechEd News Guide 2022

Empowering Our Community Through Learning

As business experts increasingly use technology to solve pressing problems from the ground up, the need for top-notch professional developers to solve complex higher-level problems and deliver strategic insight continues to rise. SAP is redoubling its efforts to address this need, committing to upskill two million people worldwide by 2025. We’re expanding access to our learning materials, partnering with world-class learning platform Coursera to expand the paths to success at SAP, and reaching out to empower new audiences in the SAP community.

SAP expands free learning opportunities and partners with leading learning platform provider Coursera

SAP pledges to upskill two million developers worldwide by 2025, supporting the skills growth required for those interested in exploring a career in the SAP ecosystem.

SAP is more than tripling its free learning offerings on the SAP Learning site, bringing the total to 23 with a focus on key innovation areas. Since its launch in 2021, the learning site has grown to serve more than 300,000 learners as they develop and refine their skills. New learning journeys give users the opportunity to Explore RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud and Onboard with SAP Activate for RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, in preparation for SAP Certification.

SAP also announces a collaboration with Coursera to extend the reach of learning and to help people connect to career possibilities within the SAP ecosystem, which is expected to create more than 500,000 jobs in the next three years. Coursera, a global online learning platform provider with 100 million learners, has launched a seven-course professional certificate for consultants. Learners will gain an understanding of the SAP ecosystem, the role of technology consultants, and the value SAP professionals bring to customers. The new entry-level certificate prepares a learner within just a few months for an in-demand digital role.

To advance inclusiveness and equitable economic opportunity in this crucial field, SAP will also launch a global skills initiative for underrepresented and underserved populations in technology. The initiative includes access to free learning, up to 10,000 free certifications, and career preparation for in-demand jobs within the SAP ecosystem.

SAP has also launched a new careers group in SAP Community to help advance career planning within the SAP ecosystem. More than three million members, SAP partners, and customers can use the group to share their knowledge, provide career advice, recommend learning resources, and promote job opportunities.

SAP offers a certification discount to attendees of SAP TechEd through December 31, 2022. Learn more about SAP’s new learning offerings, including additional details and benefits, in this blog post.
