I’m very grateful for my managers, mentors and colleagues at SAP who supported me in my personal and professional development, I am able to discuss openly about my career development, get advice and this is really precious. To me, it’s important to keep learning and share knowledge with others.

Siv Rispoli

Siv Rispoli is a Category Manager for Public Cloud Services and has been with SAP since April 2012.

I am originally from Paris, France but have always wanted to live and work abroad. So, in 2016 as part of my personal and professional development I had this amazing opportunity to relocate to the US with SAP, which I am very grateful for. I now live close to the Newtown Square (NSQ) office in the Greater Philadelphia area with my husband and 3.5-year-old son.

I started my career at a French multinational company as a Purchasing Manager for procurement projects. I learned so much and travelled a lot for supplier sourcing, selection and negotiation and for quality inspection for production control and supplier performance management.

After 6 years, I decided to join SAP as it was known as a very innovative and dynamic company with global opportunities. At that time, it was a hard decision to make because I loved my job, the people and the company. But I followed my intuition as I was convinced SAP would be a great fit for me. When I joined SAP France in 2012, my first role in the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) was in the EMEA Procurement team supporting EMEA projects, especially the Paris building amalgamation and fit-out project. In GPO we make sure we pay the right price for the best products/services at the right time and ensure compliance while responding to our customers’ needs. It is really exciting to know that your contribution has a direct link to the company’s strategy and SAP core business. In addition, it is always interesting to build long-term partnership with our vendors and make it a successful cooperation.

In early 2016 I took over the Cloud Services Category within GPO and by August the same year, I moved to SAP NSQ. I managed major RFXs for sourcing, proposals and contract negotiations related to Data Center colocation services in different locations and other cloud services projects in a very intense and fast-paced environment.

Since 2018, with the accelerationof the partnerships between SAP and the Hyperscalers, I’ve been in charge of Public Cloud services category at GPO, responsible for contract negotiations, performing market analysis, spend data insights, analysing and developing business cases for new projects, managing supplier performance, reporting savings and working on improvements opportunities in a new busines and technology model.

In our team, we work as an entrepreneur for our designated categories and we manage our area of responsibility with passion. There is also a great team spirit and we are very supportive to each other.

I’m very grateful for my managers, mentors and colleagues at SAP who supported me in my personal and professional development, I am able to discuss openly about my career development, get advice and this is really precious. To me, it’s important to keep learning and share knowledge with others.

SAP is always transforming and adapting as a company and its processes to better address customers’ needs. As such, I believe there are always great opportunities.

Outside of work I run and practice yoga at least 3 times a week. This is how I reset and relax. It’s my “me-time”. I started running in 2006 in Copacabana, Brazil: it was just a nice way to get up early and visit the area with my friend and I ended up enjoying it. So, I started running 6k, then 10k then half-marathons and I have also run the Berlin Marathon.

I started practicing yoga in 2017 with prenatal yoga, followed by “mommy and baby” yoga and then Vinyasa which taught me awareness and to listen to my body.

What I like about both running and yoga, is that you are competing with yourself, setting your own challenges and objectives, you keep learning, improving, and most of all, you’re enjoying the ride!

Fun Facts:

  • My first ever job was at a photo lab shop, at the time cameras transitioned from analogic to digital. This first experience helped me understand the importance of customer service and taught me the capacity to adapt.
  • I used to want to be a doctor but changed my mind during high school as I have a tendency to faint when I see blood.
  • If money were no object, I would travel around the world attending yoga retreats.
  • If I could have a superpower it would be to speak every language.
