T&G Global, formerly Turners and Growers, operates in 13 countries with a team of 1,800 people and alongside over 700 independent growers. They grow, market, sell, and distribute a range
of fresh produce to consumers in more than 55 countries. As a leading agribusiness, T&G leverages efficient digital platforms to support their growers, sales teams, and supply chain partners
across a global network. T&G had implemented SAP S/4HANA, but faced significant disruption following natural disasters that impacted both operations and budgets.
Why This Project is a Best Tech Next Gen Innovator Contender:
The Claims App redefines how T&G manages one of its most complex and high-touch business processes, introducing real-time transparency, automation, and accountability at scale.
• Streamlined a multi-party, manual claims process into a unified, mobile-friendly SAP BTP solution
• Empowered business users with a low-touch, intuitive interface that accelerates resolution times and improves service outcomes
• Laid a scalable, secure digital foundation for continuous innovation through process automation and SAP Analytics Cloud
• Demonstrates the future of intelligent, user-centric SAP applications that deliver value beyond the enterprise to growers, partners, and customers
This project exemplifies what next-generation SAP transformation looks like: rapid, modular, people-first, and outcomes-driven.

Challenges
T&G’s global Apple business were experiencing inefficiencies within their existing system for managing customer claims related to issues with the quality
of the produce.
The laborious process of recording, investigating and confirming claims impacts customer satisfaction and overall business performance in sales,
operations, quality management and finance processes.
Prior to the Claims App, customers submitted a claim via email, including photographs. A T&G Customer service agent would man ually enter the
information into a spreadsheet and pass the information onto the quality team via email. Depending on the nature of the claim, the quality team
investigates the issue, creates a grower’s report to send to the grower via email. A credit is sent to the customer via email.
To address this challenge and drive grower’s accountability, T&G is focusing on streamlining the existing claims process, leveraging technology to improve
efficiency and accuracy by automating and simplifying the claims management process.

Solution
FIORI element screens connect via the CAP API to allow the creation and management of claims. A person making a claim contact s T&G, supplying key details such as
the container number and supporting photos. A T&G employee enters this information into the SAP BTP CAP application.
All touchpoints in this process are unified through SAP BTP. Data is stored in the BTP HANA Database, with OData connections pulling in relevant information from
backend systems. Attachments are managed using the BTP Document Management Repository, and workflow is orchestrated using SAP Build Process Automation.
The claim is routed to the approving party and, once verified, the system automatically generates grower -facing documentation, issues a credit to the customer, and
applies the payment deduction.
Historical claims are managed through the same system, with future extensibility enabled via SAP Analytics Cloud. The applica tion is secured with SAP IAS and built using
clean core-aligned architecture, providing a modern, scalable foundation for continuous innovation.
