Addressing strict biocidal regulations with real-time lot tracking
YuhanClorox is a joint venture that combines the product expertise of The Clorox Company with the rich heritage and trusted reputation of Yuhan Corporation. Its flagship brand, Yuhanrox, is the market leader in Korea’s bleach segment and a symbol of household hygiene for consumers across the country. As demand for safe and reliable cleaning products increased, the company required stronger operational foundations to support growth and evolving regulatory expectations.
Its previous third-party ERP system struggled to support audit readiness, end-to-end visibility, and lot-level traceability. Critical areas such as accounting, inventory, and tax required extensive manual work. These gaps created obstacles in complying with South Korea’s K-BPR biocidal regulations, which mandate precise and reliable batch tracking across the entire supply chain.
As compliance pressures intensified, the company faced a clear challenge. Manual processes for accounting, inventory, and tax compliance were prone to error and inefficiency. Without a standardized, integrated digital core, YuhanClorox risked falling behind on regulatory demands and lacked the real-time insights needed for data-driven decision-making. To protect its brand and prepare for future growth, the company took steps to modernize its entire operational foundation and standardize on SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Establishing a single, standard digital core
YuhanClorox selected SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition to modernize core operations, strengthen compliance, and build a scalable digital foundation. It implemented capabilities across sales, procurement, manufacturing, quality management, and finance, with supply chain management as a central focus.
To move fast without adding long-term complexity, the company adopted SAP’s fit-to-standard approach. It limited customization, avoided new transaction program development, and aligned processes to standard best practices to keep a clean core for future upgrades.
Integration still mattered. Where the core modules of SAP Cloud ERP applications didn’t fit business requirements, YuhanClorox extended capabilities through SAP Business Technology Platform. The company built custom interfaces using SAP Integration Suite to connect essential systems for purchase orders, goods receipts, sales orders, and production orders.
Working with SAP partner Biztech i Co. Ltd. and SAP Services and Support, YuhanClorox successfully went live in 3.5 months. The new SAP software environment is clean, standardized, and supports end-to-end business functions, including materials management, production planning, quality management, finance, and supply chain management.

Accelerating compliance, visibility, and efficiency across all functions
Since going live with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, YuhanClorox now has a single source of truth across finance, supply chain, and manufacturing. Standardized business processes improve day-to-day business and strengthen lot-level traceability, supporting faster, more accurate responses to K-BPR reporting obligations and traceability requests.
The change has also improved how the business analyzes financial performance. Previously, teams struggled to automate variance analysis by item, period, and price range. With structured, standardized data, users can generate consistent analytical reports without relying on IT to build or validate each report. YuhanClorox sped up its report development and validation cycle by 50% and decreased dependency on IT resources by 80% for analytical work.
By moving procurement and raw material management into SAP best practice business processes, the company improved data accuracy and increased the stability of month-end closing activities. It’s also planning further automation in treasury operations through the SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity solution, which would virtually eliminate manual processes in bank transaction management and increase fund transfer efficiency by approximately 40%.
At the same time, the integrated data environment in SAP Cloud ERP has improved collaboration across departments. Finance teams gain real-time visibility into costs and transactions, procurement teams can manage material availability more effectively, and supply chain teams benefit from more-accurate inventory tracking. Together, these improvements help YuhanClorox operate as a more connected and agile organization.
Exploring AI-assisted analytics to further strengthen decision-making
With core operations now standardized and data flowing consistently across all functions, YuhanClorox plans to deepen its use of embedded analytics and evaluate AI and machine learning. In this way, it hopes to improve demand forecasting, automate routine work, and surface earlier signals on quality and compliance risks. As data volumes grow, the clean core approach also supports straightforward upgrades while the business adds new modules and capabilities of SAP Cloud ERP.
