Prior to the deployment of JEDI-NG, JMD maintained an on-premises, highly customized financial database which did not support the entirety of the Departments financial, acquisition, and payroll reporting requirements. Multiple one-off legacy reporting systems were maintained to meet the reporting requirements of DOJ’s litigating, law enforcement, and Component agencies. Reporting across the DOJ was slow, fragmented, and lacked transparency.The deployment of JEDI-NG enabled the Department to move to the Cloud and eliminate the development and personnel costs associated with maintaining multiple on-prem customized reporting systems. Additionally, JEDI-NG standardized the data presentation format which has enabled the Department’s Components increased data availability and transparency.The innovative JEDI-NG Data Management system enabled DOJ to eliminate multiple costly systems & allocate IT resources more effectively.
