Title of the presentation: “ Supporting the paradigm shift in business finance – SAP’s solutions for the Office of the CFO”
Finance executives are increasingly challenged to bring agility to activities such as planning and budgeting. – going beyond the rigid plans of the past. Given the growing vulnerability of enterprises to events that will harm their reputations, they are often expected to manage risk, regulations and compliance issues with greater care and precision.
Moreover, their executive team members are looking for strategic guidance. These demands are leading to a shift in CFO priorities:
Being the enabler and change agent for the business – tying strategy to execution more effectively
Delivering financial services that support business innovation
Setting up operations (solutions and processes) that are lean and support changing regulatory and compliance demands
Given these expectations, CFOs are spending more time generating business insight, managing risk and driving business performance. The role of the CFO is naturally becoming more performance focused – they are responsible for most of the key profit and risk drivers. The CFO is looked upon as a strategic advisor to the business.
Based on customer business cases covering the impacts of the above mentioned shift this presentation will illustrate how SAP’s new solutions (Strategy Mangement, Business Planning & Consolidation, Risk Management, Operational Compliance) unlock business insight from disparate sources of data and support management decision-making.
