SAP NetWeaver provides complete support for Java technology, including Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) 1.3 APIs, Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) 2.0, J2EE Connector Architecture (JCA), Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) Java Message Service (JMS), and Java Database Connectivity (JDBC). SAP NetWeaver also supports fast deployment for high development productivity and advanced clustering for high availability and reliability.

In addition, SAP NetWeaver provides an enterprise-scale persistence layer that ensures portability across all supported database systems.
