The SAP NetWeaver platform provides the foundation of all SAP business solutions. That's why this open integration and application platform is crucial to the overall accessibility of SAP products.

SAP's Commitment to Accessibility

SAP has developed an internal accessibility compliance plan to enable individuals with disabilities to use SAP NetWeaver and other SAP solutions. As part of this plan, we have established the Accessibility Competence Center to:

• Ensure that SAP products address accessibility requirements
• Incorporate accessibility into the life cycle for software development and product innovation
• Research and stay current with international accessibility issues
• Cooperate with corporate leaders in IT accessibility
• Work with organizations committed to making software accessible

SAP's Approach

To uphold accessibility of the SAP NetWeaver platform and the SAP Business Suite family of adaptive solutions, SAP created the SAP Accessibility Standard. This software and Web-application standard is based on applicable Section 508 requirements and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 1.0) Priority 1. New development at SAP must adhere to this standard, which has been integrated into SAP's product innovation life cycle. New drafts of other standards supported by SAP are being phased into the SAP Accessibility Standard.

SAP strives to fulfill the ever-changing requirements of business professionals and global accessibility standards.
