Benefits:
Managed Disability
The managed disability program provides third-party administration for the
claims filing process for both short- and long-term disability benefits. The
short-term disability plan protects your income if you are unable to work because
of a non-occupational illness or injury. Should your disability continue beyond
six months, you may be eligible for long-term disability benefits.
- Short-term disability insurance
Less than one year of service: 60% of base salary up to six months. Greater
than or equal to one year of service: 100% of base salary for the first three
months of disability and 60% of base salary for the next three months of disability.
- Long-term disability (LTD) insurance
For disabilities that extend beyond six months, you may be eligible for LTD
benefits. The monthly LTD benefit is equal to 60% of base salary plus actual bonus/commissions, up to a maximum
payment of $15,000 per month. Your LTD benefits will be offset by any other
benefits payable from Social Security, workers' compensation, or any other
company or government-sponsored plan.
