SAP NEWSBYTE - October 14, 2009 - The liberalization of the European gas market brings new regulations for gas traders and network operators. General market developments, such as additional supply possibilities and changes to the duration of supply and delivery contracts, present further challenges for companies in the gas industry. To cope with these new challenges, SAP AG and CX4U have intensified their cooperation by integrating more closely their respective software solutions for the gas industry.
Enhanced regulatory requirements – for instance, the switch from monthly to daily balancing, the creation of a standard load profile or the handling of capacity and nomination management processes – are now covered by CX4U’s coregas-suite for distribution system operators. Additionally, transport system operators can be reflected in the respective applications from the SAP® for Utilities solution portfolio. Software solutions from CX4U have been developed as complementary products to the SAP® Intercompany Data Exchange application and the SAP Energy Data Management application. The announcement was made at the Seventh International SAP Utilities Conference 2009, held in Munich, Germany, October 14-16.
