Argentinean Travel Agency Invests in SAP® BusinessObjects™ Business Intelligence Solutions

SAP NEWSBYTE - November 03, 2009 - In Latin America, companies of all sizes are relying on SAP® BusinessObjects™ business intelligence (BI) solutions to manage the large volumes of data flowing through their organizations, as well as to mitigate risk and keep up with current industry regulations.

For months, Argentine-based travel agency Nap Travel had been looking for a BI system that could enable access to unified information across its operations. The company previously had three different data sources, which led to users referencing redundant or even out-of-date information, posing risk for error.

When evaluating solutions, Nap Travel discovered that many providers in the market prioritized large enterprise customers. In late 2008, the agency decided to implement SAP® BusinessObjects™ XI solutions as a two-stage project. Thanks to this implementation, Nap Travel’s administrative staff moved from using manual spreadsheets to automated BI, which streamlines both invoicing and collection processes.

SAP BusinessObjects BI solutions also made it possible for Nap Travel to measure the performance of its 34 employees using different parameters, and to use reliable information for better negotiations with its suppliers through analyzing key performance indicators. The new system automates information transfer and storage, processes that were previously done manually, with spreadsheets.
