These tools are intended to ensure that the right people get the right training at the right time - and there is a huge choice available. These range from simple spreadsheets to track course attendance right up to sophisticate learning management systems to plan an individuals learning and development.  Make sure that any admin tool you use can cope with a mix of classroom and e-learning delivery.

SAP provides two tools in this area, TEM ( Training and Events Management) and the SAP learning solution. TEM is geared towards the scheduling of events and resources, while the SAP Learning solution build on this functionality to deliver e-learning via a learner portal.  As you would expect these tools are highly integrated into the SAP HCM solution ( Human Capital Management ).
