There have been numerous views, comments and articles surrounding SAP’s acquisition of Business Objects in order to extend the value and offering of the SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence solution.
It’s now time to gain an understanding into how the current suite of Business Objects applications connect and integrate with SAP Business Intelligence.
SAPBO - SAP BUSINESS OBJECTS FOR SAP NETWEAVER BW
The release of the SAPBO course sees the launch of a global SAP Education course addressing the integration of SAP BusinessObjects and SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse.
As well as understanding the theoretical concepts, participants will gain hands on experience of reporting on data from a SAP NetWeaver BW system within the SAP BusinessObjects tools. This will give an understanding of the key functionalities of the SAP BusinessObjects applications.
The goals of the course are to address the differences between SAP NetWeaver BW and SAP Business Objects from the following perspectives:
- SAP Business Object strategy
- SAP data provider for BO front-end tools
- Actual reporting capabilities with SAP Business Object (short introduction)
- Comparison and discussion of the different tools

The course is based on SAP NetWeaver BW 7.0 and BusinessObjects XI 3.1 software platforms.

The WGBOBJ workshop was a UK specific workshop that was created in 2008, to address the topics and concepts of the integration between SAP BusinessObjects and SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse, in advance of the global Education course (SAPBO) being available.
Delegates who have previously attended the WGBOBJ workshop will have already gained insight and understanding of all of the key topics and concepts that are covered in the SAPBO course.
