DERPUP SAP Upgrade Positioning and Functionality: Virtual Live Sessions now available

The advent of SAP ERP 6.0 and SAP Business Suite 7, raises a number of questions: why should I upgrade? What will upgrading give me? What differences will my users see? What are SAP’s recommendations?

SAP UK Education have introduced two virtual delivery sessions exploring the upgrade strategy and possibilities offered by upgrading. These sessions are not about the technical nuts and bolts of instigating an upgrade process, nor about the detailed configuration changes which will become available to you once this is completed. Instead we focus on the bigger picture: why upgrade? And what does upgrading offer?

Why Upgrade?

Session one (DERPUP1) looks at SAP’s upgrade and release strategy, and at the rationale for upgrading. This session will also discuss upgrade tools, plus the services offered to support you with your upgrade.

Although this session will be of interest to anyone considering an upgrade, we anticipate it will be particularly valuable to partner organizations and customer-based architecture teams.

Our aims in this session are to:

  • Enable you successfully to position upgrades to SAP ERP 6.0 and Business Suite 7
  • Facilitate determining the value-to-upgrade, with content and methodology from SAP

What Does Upgrading Offer?

Session two (DERPUP2) looks at the functional possibilities offered by upgrading: what’s new in ERP, CRM, SRM and NetWeaver. This session looks at functional changes and possibilities, to give you a starting point for more detailed study of delta functionality.

This session will be of interest to anyone who is likely to be involved in an upgrade project, or who is looking for awareness of functional possibilities offered by the latest solution releases.

We will not be looking at detailed delta changes, but our aims are to:

  • Offer the most current and consistent information available for SAP ERP 6.0 and enhancement package functionality
  • Consider functionality offered by SAP Business Suite 7
