JA400 - Introduction to Java EE 5
Introduction to Java EE 5 is a new five day training where you are going to learn the most important aspects of Java Programming using Java Platform Enterprise Edition 5 (Java EE 5) to create web and enterprise applications. This new programming standard will make your life as a developer easier with innovative techniques. Java EE 5 offers new features such as the highly simplified Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) Technology 3.0, JavaServer Faces (JSF) Technology, provides support for all of the latest SOA technologies and the latest web services APIs.
For your existing application you will not have any problems because there is backward compatibility of Java EE 5 with previous versions of the Java Enterprise platform.
For this class we will use the
SAP Netweaver Composition Environment 7.1 as a platform for building and running the applications based in Java EE 5.

What is CE7.11 (previously know in house as Galaxy)
It is key to SAP's SOA offering and could be described very, very simplistically as workflow across SAP and non SAP using webservices.

NEW!! UI DEVELOPMENT WITH WEB DYNPRO FOR ABAP - NET312
SAP Education UK will soon be offering a new 3-day course covering the User Interface design aspect of ABAP Web Dynpro.
This course explains in detail how to implement user interfaces (UIs) based on Web Dynpro for ABAP. This includes the creation of a view�s layout based on the UI element library provided with Web Dynpro for ABAP, the definition of the related view context and the discussion of the UI element specific events.
In particular, this course covers the creation of the more complex UI elements which are not covered in detail on the NET310, including the Date Navigator, Phase Indicator, Road Map, Table View, and Tree.
The course will also discuss how to define the layout using the UI elements Contextual Panel, Horizontal Contextual Panel, Navigation List, MultiPane, and TabStrip
The Business Graphics UI element, which can be used to display graphical illustrations of data and data relationships is covered in detail, as well as some of the others options available for Presentation graphics: GeoMap,ValueComparison, and ProgressIndicator.
Finally the process required to integrate other technologies in Web Dynpro is considered, including how to embed SAP Interactive Forms for Adobe (and also static forms) into a Web Dynpro application, as well as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel files. The subject of embedding SAP Business Intelligence Web Templates into Web Dynpro applications is also described in this course.
Attendees should have experience in developing applications based on Web Dynpro for ABAP, the necessary knowledge can be achieved by attending our 5-day NET310 course (ABAP Web Dynpro).
NEW Adobe Interactive Forms course - WGBIF
Want to know more about how Adobe Interactive Forms can be used in SAP? Maybe you've already attended the BC480 Adobe Print Forms course and you're ready to know more... Or maybe you want to find out how Adobe Interactive Forms can be incorporated into an ABAP Web Dynpro application.
This brand new 3-day workshop, exclusive to SAP Education UK, will show you how. Starting with an introduction to the technical architecture of Interactive Forms, you will receive a good grounding in the Adobe Designer Tool and an understanding of how you can integrate Adobe form templates into your wider SAP applications.
You will see examples of how Javascript can be used to enhance Interactive Forms, before moving on to study the ABAP Web Dynpro scenario and also how web services can be incorporated into your forms.
The workshop includes a short case study so that you can get to grips with the development tools and have a go at completing your own fully functioning Adobe form system.
As well as delving into the development side of things, this course will give you lots of insights into real world forms projects so that you are well placed to judge exactly where these forms can be of maximum benefit in your business.
Finally, we will cover the important topics of digital security and offline forms to really round out your knowledge of this exciting new technology.
