SAP solution

Rolls-Royces gas turbines businesses in the U.K. went live with SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW) in May 2000. The company uses Business Explorer (BEx) to publish reports with SAP BW. Rolls-Royce s 1,000 U.K.users range from MRP controller to the most senior members of the company.

Rolls-Royces 600-GB SAP BW holds about 500 million records in 50 InfoCubes of logistics, procurement, and finance data. The company loads data weekly through an operational data store or directly into InfoCubes, depending on the data. SAP BW runs on four Sun Microsystems Enterprise 3000 and Enterprise 6000 servers. The Company plans to roll out SAP BW to additional users in the United States and Germany in the future.
